Apteryx - 1lb. Kiwi-drive Robot
Apteryx is the second antweight combat robot that I developed, made to compete in the plastic antweight class at BetzBotz July. "Kiwi-drive crusher" is a inside joke within the combat robotics community, as it's never going to be very competitive. Regardless, the chassis design allows it to potentially mount a soldering iron to burn through top plates.

The key new development that separates Apteryx from other kiwi-drive robots is the recessed back wheel. It allows for a significant reduction in size and weight, in exchange for a moderate loss in mobility. I plan on continuing to update the design in the future, ideally attempting to run both Apteryx and an alternative robot in the fall's DPD season.
